Hurricane Ike Prayer Request

My cousin, her husband and small children live near Houston. I was able to get in contact with her Friday morning and she has promised to email me again as soon as she can. Please say a prayer, send a kind thought, whatever you can for her and for all the 1.8 million (or more) people who are in the path of this monster.

Thank you,

Ghost Bride

Thanks, Whisper.

So far the only thing I have been able to find out is that there is no electric, no landline and no cell phone access in the area my cousin and her family live. No one in that area expected much damage from the Hurricane so they did not evacuate

I have found a few blogs that mention structural damage but as of yet no deaths have been mentioned.

Hopefully I will know more soon

And that, dear Polly, is one of the reasons I live in Maine... Weather scares me!!!!

Joking aside, what devastation and loss. Prayers most certainly added to the others. And, I do hope you hear again from your family soon!

Sincerely ~MacKenzie

I agree completely, Mack. My friends that live in the south or lower east coast are always asking me to move down there. No way, no how.

I would rather put up with Nor'Easters anyday!

Thanks for the prayers. Im going to try to get in contact with some other family members. I dont know if they will respond. If you look up "dysfunctional" in the dictionary you will find my family

Are the girls adjusting ok? And you, mom?

Huggles!!
