Welcome back everyone! Hope your holiday weekend was a good one!

I got my new camera!! Radio Shack had a Memorial Day Weekend sale and the Kodak 8 MP camera that I wanted was marked down from $179 to $129!! Plus hubby gave me his Radio Shack bday gift card AND the mall gift card his employer gave him for Christmas! So, with the discount and gift cards we only paid $44 for the camera!! Yipppeee!! I am so excited! Now, if the weather will just stay nice I will be really happy!

Hubby and I buried our sweet furbaby Cadapig this past Saturday. She passed away in March but since snow was still on the ground then we waited until we had a nice, warm weekend. She is now at "home" with her brother. We also stopped by hubby's parent's grave and left some liliacs (his mom's favorite flowers). By the time we got home Sat it was pretty late and we had been up since Friday evening when we got ready for work, so we crashed!

Sunday morning we did laundry and then decided it was time to hit the drive in! We went to see Indiana Jones and Iron Man. I am one of those (in hubby's opinion) unfortunate souls who have never seen any of the Indiana Jone's films so I was a little lost. But I still enjoyed the movie. I loved Iron Man. Ok, so I did fall asleep towards the end (I had a migraine) but I cant wait to watch it again! I think Robert Downy Jr was AWESOME!
Ok, so that was my weekend in a nutshell. How was yours? What did you do?
Until we meet again,
Ghost Bride

I love your winter background on your blog. I'm not a cold weather kind of person and it sent shivers down my spine, but the beauty of it made up for the shivers.
Glad you had a great Memorial Day weekend. We had a nice one as well. It's always nice when we have one of our kids around and grandchildren. Well they live about 35 miles from us and have no intention of moving out of Texas. Our son-in-law's parents live outside of the small town we live outside of, but they are on the southside and we are on the northside. One day our kids hope to move back in our county so their kids can go to our schools, which are very good. That's why we stayed here 28 years ago when the oil company my hubby worked for came and went within a span of five years.
Sorry to be going on and on about me since I'm leaving a comment on your blog. I get carried away a lot of times.
Blessings,
Karen
You never seen the Indiana Jones?
I can't wait to see both of these pics and bless your heart, you fell asleep!
I haven't done a drive in in ages! I may have to this next trip to upper NY.
Sorry about Cad, but he's at peace now. It had to be awful not being able to bury him for so long. Now you feel better.
We have 2 drive-ins in the area (both about 20-30 miles from me), but I have yet to go to either. I haven't been to one in so many years. I think I just might have to take the kids soon cuz I think they'd enjoy that. Can't believe you never saw any of the Indiana Jones films...
Have a great day!!
We love the drive in!! There are only 5 left in all of Maine. The good news is we are fairly close to all but one. That one is actually up near the Canadian border! We try to go as much as possible. Sometimes they show 3 movies
And yeppers... the camera is coming with us! BTW I should have the exact dates we will be in 'bama pretty soon. I know the vacation is from Mar 24 - Apr 10. We just have worked out where we want to be, when and for how long.
I know, I know... scary, huh?
Hubby is working on fixing that little problem... he wasnt even aware until we got there and I asked him who a certain person was and he was like
Im glad you like the layout
I did a "drive by" of your blog... I dont have enough time right now to fully devote to reading what appears at first glance to be some amazing poetry! I will try to get back over there soon.
Have a great weekend!

Thank you Miss Belle
Thanks! I love to take pictures. Im not as good as I would like to be but this is the first time in my life I have 1) had someone who is willing to support my interest (hubby) and 2) really wanted to try because I feel like I can do something with this. So, I am really excited!

Thank you so much! I just loved how I felt when I saw it and really works well with the Ghost Bride name

That's cool about the new camera. Have fun with it. Ron got me a digital camera a couple years ago. I love taking pictures with it. I bet you'll really enjoy it.
I'm sorry to hear about Cadapig. You have my sympathies. You chose a beautiful place for him.
Jo
Thanks for stopping by

Both fiance and I agree...Robert Downey Jr. has dodged bullets for many years now...he's like that lucky Bozo the clown that you knock down that keeps on keepin' on!
For the past 8 years, I've predicted that one day...if he can keep his nose clean and stay alive (!!!)...RD Jr. should win an Oscar for something...he just has to get the right vehicle...."Chaplin" was wonderful but that didn't do it for him...
~r~
I think this is the "vehicle" for him. He plays the part seamlessly.
I wouldnt wish to have a famous person's life at all. Too many stresses, too much temptation and too much money to feed those temptations.
