 Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter Ya'll!!

Make Mine Chocolate!!

I am a serious softie for animals and have a hard time understanding how anyone could harm them. Hubby and I are proud parents of 4 amazingly adorable furbabies. We have 2 rabbits and 2 guinea pigs and between us several angel furbabies. We also sponsor a cage at the local animal refuge league.

This Easter if I have one wish, one thing I hope for its that parents take a step back and consider the responsibility involved in caring for a rabbit before they decided to bring home an "Easter bunny." Too often children tire of them, cannot properly care for them or just disgard them . And what happens? Either the poor baby is sent out into a world that he/she has no knowledge of as a "pet" or sent to an already overcrowded shelter.

Please consider buying a chocolate rabbit for your child instead. For more information on this issue and information about the care of rabbits or to support the cause please visit Make Mine Chocolate

Happy Easter!!

Huggles,

Polly

 Taking the plunge!

Grrrrrr!!!

Kicks the damn leprechaun who is obviously taking a long Guiness induced whiz rather than be by myside this morning!

First I try to post pictures for this post but Blogstream has decided not to let me. I have no images saves so its not like Im over my limit. The images were not that large. *Sigh* Oh well, when I have had sleep and therefore gain some patience I shall try again.

Then I go to submit this message and that thing is basically eaten by the Blogstream monster! Did I ask it if it was hungry?! NO!!

I shall try once more...

HAPPY ST PATRICK'S DAY YA'LL !!

Hubby and I began our day at 4 am. We had stayed at my hotel so that we could celebrate our anniversary. Not of marriage, dating. Yeah, I know, corny. Deal with it LOL Anyway... we packed up at headed out to the St Paddys Day Plunge.

What is the St Paddys Day Plunge you ask? Well, at 5:30 AM a group of 50 or so brave souls gathered at one of the local beaches for a plunge into the frigid waters of the Atlantic. When we left the hotel it was 21 degrees and we had 30 mph wind gusts! You can imagine what it must have been like in the water. We didnt take the plunge... we are not that crazy! LOL I just wanted to watch and get pictures. As it was the wind was so bitterly cold that my eyes were watering and we did some sort of weird penguin dance to get back to the car.

After the plunge we headed with the rest of the group back to the restaurant sponsoring the plunge. Each participant collected money for the local fire department's children's burn survivor group- so all the insanity was for a good cause :-) They served us up a nice, free, HOT Irish breakfast and the taps started flowing promptly at 6 AM!! How anyone can drink Guiness at 6 AM I will never know LOL

So, hopefully I can post the pics soon... I shall leave you with this...

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

 I think I finally know...

So, I started working out. Today will be my third day. Nothing special. Just some time on the treadmill, exercise bike and conditioning, three days a week.

Im paying more attention to what I eat... why... and when.

I have been drinking more water for awhille now.

I think I finally realized what the secret is.

You have to want to do this.

No diet, no exercise plan, overpriced pill, shake, contraption will work... unless YOU WANT IT TO.

I want to do this. And even better than that is that I feel like I can. So, I am.

Im not going to write endless posts about what I am eating, how many minutes/hours/days I have excercised or what I think will work and wont work. Im just going to do this and hope for the best. Well, ok, that sounds bad. I know I have it in me, I know that I have support in this. I guess I just feel like all the numbers will just simply ruin my motivation. Much the same as all the negativity that led me to feel so bad that I just didnt care.

A good friend reminded me that it takes 3 weeks to form a habit... only 2 to go!!

 Bad balloon!! Bad!!

You almost want to laugh at this... but then that little part of you that gushes at the romantic thought kicks in and... aww, hell! Laugh at it :-)

Honey, will you marry... Oh. Never mind...

LONDON (Reuters) - It is the one moment every man wants to get right -- and which London floor-fitter Lefkos Hajji could hardly have got more wrong.

The luckless 28 year-old's dreams of giving his sweetheart, Leanne, 26, the ultimate proposal have literally vanished into thin air.

Hajji, of Hackney, east London, had concealed a $12,000 engagement ring inside a helium balloon. The idea was that she would pop the balloon as he popped the question.

But as he left the shop, a gust of wind pulled the balloon from his hand and he watched the ring -- and quite possibly the affections of his girlfriend -- sailing away over the rooftops.

"I couldn't believe it," he told The Sun newspaper.

"I just watched as it went further and further into the air.

"I felt like such a plonker. It cost a fortune and I knew my girlfriend would kill me."

Hajji spent two hours in his car trying to chase and find the balloon, without success.

"I thought I would give Leanne a pin so I could literally pop the question," he said.

"But I had to tell her the story -- she went absolutely mad. Now she is refusing to speak to me until I get her a new ring."

He is hoping the ring will still turn up.

"It would be amazing if someone found it," he added.
