I have promised many times to post more of my pictures and I was finally able to upload 2 tonight, so here ya go :-)

The first picture was taken last night of the fog coming in over Casco Bay. Hubby and I were in the area to see what the weather was like but as you can see (and Im sure by now you know) the Hurricane passed by the state of Maine... thankfully!  The second picture I took last weekend. We passed the farm on the way to breakfast and I just could not resist the shot.

Thank God It's Friday!!

Promise me it's really Friday? Really, really? Yaaaaaaaaaaay!! Whew!!

Ok, I guess its time for some more bites... err... bits... lol

• Last Saturday morning after work hubby and I visited a local "pick your own" orchard. My first visit to an orchard We had some yummy apple cider, an absolutely incredible pumpklin whoopie pie with creme cheese icing and we took home a bismark that was out of this world... DELICIOUS! As for the apples I took some back to the hotel and the guests devoured them

• I found this really cool "tour" in NH that hubby and I are going on for Halloween. The evening starts in a grave yard and end withs a bonfire. I cant wait! I love Halloween. In the entertainment section Thursday there was mention of a haunted house in Maine that was on the show "Paranormal State." I guess they are offering tours and the chance to stay overnight in the house. I called the number that was listed to find out more but got a really odd voicemail message that sounded more like a personal cell phone message and not a "business." I left a message but no call back yet. I think Im going to call the newspaper to see if they goofed.

• Fall is in full swing here in Southern Maine. The trees are gorgeous. I really love the 45 minute drive home at this time of year! So many reds, oranges, yellows. I want to get some pictures this weekend but I have to see if the rain holds off. I got a couple really cool shots last weekend of the early morning fog. I know, I know... I need to post them. But everytime I try to upload to Blogstream, no matter how I tweak the size of the pic, etc it will not work. I will try something different later.

• I bought the 7th season of Smallville last week and we are already almost done watching the whole season I LOVE that show!! Its a three way tie between that show, Dresden Files and Dexter as to which is my favorite.

So, does that fill your curious minds for now? I think Im still awake enough to check out some blogs. I hope ya'll have a GREAT weekend!!

I have only have a minute or so... I really need to catch some zzz's... but I wanted to let you all know I spoke with one of my cousin's... her sister is the one living in TX... she is okay... the only damage they had was a tree crashed through their fence but the house, the cars and most importantly, they are okay!... they are still without power but doing okay... my family in Ohio is okay too... THANK YOU FOR ALL THE PRAYERS!!

• Will someone please go upstairs and turn off the water hose? I mean really... 2 straight weekends of rain... rain... and oh, yeah... rain... I know it could be worse... it could be those damn monsterous hurricanes *sigh*
• Found another "new" restaurant... Buck's Naked BBQ in Freeport... four words... FRIED PICKLES ARE YUMMY!!... omg, I think I am addicted!!... and the pulled pork!
• I have managed to get some of my friend's wedding pictures sorted, touched up and ready for printing... they are actually better than I had thought... I didnt know until 2 days before the wedding that her aunt is a professional photographer (she wont take pics for family anymore after one family member whined and complained too much)... anyway, I saw the pics she took... ummm... Im not trying to have a huge ego or anything but if that is what is considered professional I have no worries whatsoever...
• the leaves are already starting to change color!! Yipppeee!! I am so excited! I cannot wait to get out and take some pictures!!
• Im disappointed in the Bangor Visitors Bureau... I stumbled across what I thought would be an awesome Halloween tour and submitted my request 2 weeks ago to order tickets... I just checked online last night and they are sold out!... ummm, hello!... a phone call or email reply would have been nice... oh, it was the Tommyknockers bus tour and they take you around to all the Stephen King related sites in the area and past his house... ah, screw them!... I have his address and I pretty much know where the tour goes so we can do this ourselves! Hmmph!

***UPDATE***

Please keep my family and friends in your prayers... most of my family/friends live in the Cincinnati/Dayton, Ohio  area and I just learned that they sustained serious damage in a storm Sunday... most are without power for who knows how long... and I still have not heard from my cousin in Texas *sigh*

Hurricane Ike Prayer Request

My cousin, her husband and small children live near Houston. I was able to get in contact with her Friday morning and she has promised to email me again as soon as she can. Please say a prayer, send a kind thought, whatever you can for her and for all the 1.8 million (or more) people who are in the path of this monster.
