 Shakin your sasafrass!

Hey ya'll! I hope your having a good weekend! I know I am! The last two days Ghost and I have been on edge because Southern Maine is playing host to the US Region 1 Youth Soccer Tournament. We are talking 5000+ kids, close to 51 hotels involved. Last year this group was a complete nightmare! Someone must have given them a good talking to because both of us had a quiet night at our hotels, no problems whatsoever! Woo Hoo!!

Tomorrow we are going to go see Wall-E and The Incredible Hulk. I cant wait! We saw Get Smart and Kung Fu Panda last weekend. So, even though Maine weather has been less than ideal at least we are still having fun Although, I am really getting antsy about wanting to get out and take some pictures.

Its time for me to Ok, its well past time for me to sleep! but I just had to play online! Anyway I leave you with a song...

Be sure to shake your sasafrass!

Until next time...

 Pride Parade

This past Saturday was the Southern Maine Pride Parade/Festival. Hubby and I decided to go and it was a lot of fun! I was completely impressed and grateful that there were no protestors. This picture was taken at the end of the parade when they marched with the pride flag. This flag is HUGE! I would guess it took at least 100 people to carry it.

 Blinded by her thong!

Blinded by her thong!

Yes, you read correctly! A 52 year old California woman is suing Victoria's Secret because her eye was permanetly damaged when a metal piece "flew off her thong and struck her in the eye."

Take a look for yourself kids Click here for Her story

Until we meet again...

 Twenty miles and cemeteries...

First a bit of bragging rights!

So, earlier I said I would post every now and then about how I was doing with my exercise routine. Well, last week I decided to set a goal and I achieved it. Twenty miles in one week (on the exercise bike)!! I think I will probably stick with 20 miles a week at least for a couple months.

And now off to the cemetery

I went to one of the local cemeteries earlier this week and shot what I think are some great photos. But... I can’t upload them onto my laptop! You know the cable that connects the camera to the laptop? Well, for some bizarre reason a tiny little part is missing. And this is my brand new digital camera! I don’t know if it was left out at the factory or if it’s something they expect you to buy. If so that is just plain insane! But I had a lot fun checking out some really cool tombstones in an incredible cemetery. Some of the stones are so old that you cannot read them anymore

This is one of the reasons I have decided that I want to be cremated. It just depresses me that families spend so much money on funeral services, the plot and the stone and then either become lazy or there is no one left to care for the stone. When Ghost was involved with the Paranormal group I was really troubled to hear stories of grave shifting. The graves shift due to natural circumstances, storms, vibration from traffic, etc. And then there are the cases where cemeteries have to be moved due to construction. This is supposed to be your final “resting” place! One of the towns in Northern Maine was purchased by the electric company and then flooded and made into a lake. The whole area seriously creeps me out! But that aside... I just cannot imagine having to dig up my loved ones and MOVE them!

*Sigh*

Until next time...
