 What a winter!!

So, we are not going home today either... when the weather is bad my husband and I stay at either my or his hotel since we live 45 minutes from work.

The weather is really crappy right now. We just got another 8" of snow on top of the mountain of snow that hasnt quite melted yet. In addition to snow we were blessed with a mixture of rain, sleet and freezing rain. Woo hoo!

So, I check the with our electric company and power has been knocked out in our area along with 74,000 other people in the state. The ice coated the trees so thickly that the limbs broke from the weight and took down power lines with them.

I am so over this winter! I love snow, I really do. But the state is running low on salt, the schools are nearly out of "snow days" and we our utility workers are overextended. According to the local news 15 people died across the NE in this lastest storm.

Spring where are you?

Another work week begins... so soon?

Umm... wasnt it just Saturday morning a couple hours ago?

Dropped our car off for repairs Saturday. The heater needed some work. Considering it is/will be -5 with wind chill today it was really important

So, we altered our weekend routine a little. We still went to Borders. We have to! I mean the whole world would stop otherwise! lol So, I have a couple new books to get started on. I just finsihed, "Sleep No More" by Greg Iles. Good book! Very creepy concept but good book! I used to read Nora Roberts a lot until I became sick of romance books or anything remotely like a romance book. They are just boring. Same story, same names, practically in the same town... blah! But, I found a new series by her that Im going to try. I bought book one of the Sign of Seven Trilogy. Considering the Gallaghers of Ardmore Trilogy led me to my husband I think Im in for a good book! I also bought, "Sleep Softly," by Gwen Hunter. I have never read anything by her so that should be interesting.

Oh and I went movie shopping! I bought the DVD version of "Princess Bride." That is our movie! And I also bought "Somethings Gotta Give" and "The Family Stone." Two of my favorite movies. I wanted to get hubby a card for Valentine's Day but this lady was screaming at her child next to the cards so I turned to movies instead. He now has the DVD version of the Naked Gun and Hot Shot series.

I had to take a cab to Walmart for movie shopping since our car is in for repairs. I was so surprised by all the snow. At least half of one row of the parking lot was stacked with snow probably 10-12' high! I mean, I of course know we have had a lot of snow lately and it was snowing at the time but WOW! And on top of all that we are due for a major storm Late Tuesday night into Wednesday. I dont mind the snow (I love it actually) I just dont like the ice. What really grades on my nerves is the stranded, bitchy travelers. Ok, its in winter, this is the east coast and your expecting what?

Well, thats probably enough for now...

Starting over... my second first post

Yes, I deleted everything and started fresh... the mood struck me and I followed

If you have clicked on my blog and dont know me already my guess is you have the following questions for which I will provide answers...

1. Why Ghost Bride? Why not? lol Hmmm... lets see... Im married to "Ghost Runner" a nickname he gave himself and I shortened to "Ghost," after "Ghost" completed a course in paranormal studies he joined a paranormal research group which sparked my interest, we honeymooned in Salem, MA during Haunted Happenings, I have a fascination with cemeteries and spirits and well, one day I asked my husband what fit me and he said "Ghost Bride"... so, there ya have it

2. Is this blog about ghosts? Well, yes and no. It will be about whatever strikes me at the moment.

3. Do you believe in ghosts? Ummm, well... yeah, I do. Should be kinda obvious but okkie dokkie. I believe that we leave impressions behind in this world and that others can feel those. I believe that those with unfished business in this life do remain as spirits. And to some extent (which Im still weighing) I believe in reincarnation.

I think thats enough for now... unless you have a question for me?
