 Ya gotta love kids!

I borrowed this from the "Same time next year" blog...

The Sermon I think this Mom will never forget.... This particular Sunday sermon..."Dear Lord," the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. "Without you, we are but dust..." He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four year old girl voice, " Mom, what is butt dust?"

A thank you, addictions and snow

Last week I was able to offer some help to someone and was surprised when returning to work today with a thank you. I felt so bad for this lady and her family. Long story short her husband had been missing for a couple days and she found him dead in his truck just a couple miles from where I work. The fire department brought her here and asked if she could stay until her family arrived. The fire department contacted our corporate office and left me a thank you. That definitely made me feel better today.

Hubby and I stayed home this weekend. Considering we havent been home for more than a day or two here and there, with all the snowstorms, it was nice. So, I went shopping Saturday and bought some cold weather, tuck in for the weekend type goodies and season 6 of Smallville. I can only speak for myself but I am totally addicted to that show! We finished the entire 6 disc collection over 3 days! Well, all but the final episode which we will not watch until the next season comes out on DVD.

So, its been what? Two days without snow? Im almost afraid to say that for fear that Old Man Winter will rear his ugly head again! I checked the weather and it appears we will have a whole week without the dreaded stuff.

I guess thats all for now...
